We are looking for a senior information architect to spearhead the research, structure and usability of dynamic interactive projects. This person will work closely with our user experience, strategy and creative teams to research, conceive and develop the architecture of web sites and other digital projects.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for finding optimal solutions to design challenges. The senior IA will lead usability research, stakeholder interviews, and competitive reviews; define personas and use cases; and create site maps, annotated wireframes and functional specification.
Responsibilities:
- Discover and prioritize client business requirements and functional needs
- Lead requirements gathering, workshops, and usability sessions
- Generate planning deliverables including sitemaps, content inventories, workflow diagrams, use cases, personas, and competitive analyses
- Design, iterate and finalized detailed, annotated wireframes
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and development teams to produce user-centric, technically feasible deliverables
- Lead client-facing sessions to present concepts and generate feedback
Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience architecting a range of projects from large scale transactional and social networking sites to modest marketing sites
- Proficiency in Visio; ability to prototype UI concepts in HTML a plus
- Understanding of UI patterns, user-centric design, and UX best practices
- Ability to devise solutions to interface problems and to articulate differences in usage, complexity, and philosophy
- Experience designing content-, commerce- and application-based interfaces
- Comfortable presenting work and justifying strategic IA and UI design decisions
