FILTER is searching for a Senior User Experience Designer to help conceive and design a new digital photography workflow application. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Conceiving, developing, and prototyping the application's user interaction model and visual appearance
- Defining user interfaces, interaction models, and the graphical style and personality of the application
- Communicating your ideas through compelling, high-fidelity prototypes
- Creating a breakthrough User Experience
- Working with program management to finalize designs, document solutions, and monitor their implementation
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED
- A BA/BS or higher degree in Interaction Design or related discipline (Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Communication Arts, etc.) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience designing in the technology industry
- A portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity in successful user experience and visual design
- A proven track record of user experience advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical disciplines (PM, Dev, Test), as well as business and marketing
- Knowledge of information architecture, task-flow models, storyboarding, wire framing, visual design specifications and guidelines
- Experience executing Interaction prototypes using a range of prototyping methods such as paper, screenshot click-throughs, HTML, Flash, etc.
- Proficiency with standard design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Experience shipping commercial software and understanding the constraints of the software development environment is preferred
- Must be a solid team player with excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills
