Interaction Designer
NavisWorks
Sheffield, UK

General Summary:

NavisWorks develops solutions that enable all personnel involved in the construction and product lifecycle in AEC, Plant and Manufacturing projects to combine design information from multiple platforms, including both Autodesk and non-Autodesk solutions, and provide new ways to analyze and simulate designs before construction. These capabilities can help customers make better design and construction decisions, helping to increase the value of their investments in design software and communicate with members of their extended project teams in an easy to use environment that requires no CAD skills.

Extending beyond basic design review, the product line allows navigation of any size model on a standard PC and adds tools for mark-up and review, visualization, animations and walkthroughs, 4D scheduling simulation and interference detection and is interoperable with over 40 design products. NavisWorks is used in the projects of thousands of small to very large multi-national corporations and the business has aspirations to keep improving the fit into workflow processes in an increasingly data rich 3D world.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, dynamic team new to the Autodesk family and so make a significant impact on a rapidly-expanding product line.

Principal Duties:

You'll be responsible for researching and validating clear and achievable specifications for NavisWorks products based on user input. You'll gather user requirements from customers and translate those needs into feature specifications that optimize product usefulness and customer satisfaction, serving as a bridge between development and customers.
