Summary:

This position works with R&D developers and artist user groups to design and develop user interface and workflows. In addition, this position will provide continuing support and refinement based on user feedback. Candidate must have proven experience building effective UI components and conducting usability studies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gather UI requirements, create mock-ups to help stakeholders visualize the end-product and show the system workflow/layout;
  • Assist with the creative aspects of developing UI components and work closely with other members of the development team to ensure smooth integration of the UI component with other back-end technologies used;
  • Use best practices for UI development so the UI can be extended and updated;
  • Unit test all UI components and work closely with systems integration with all UI testing;
  • Estimate tasks in UI projects for new implementation, optimizations and refactoring.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of and demonstrated experience in usability studies and GUI design
  • 5+ Years experience designing and developing real widgets and user interfaces
  • Bachelors degree in HCI, Design or related field
  • Experience in C++
  • Must be detail oriented and organized, and possess strong communication skills
