IFIP Technical Committee 13 on Human-Computer Interaction (IFIP TC13)

IFIP Technical Committee 13 on Human-Computer Interaction (TC13) of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) was established in 1989. It grew out of earlier groups on human-computer interaction within IFIP.

"The principal aim of TC13 is to encourage development towards a science and a technology of human-computer interaction. The main orientation is toward the users, especially the non-computer-professional users, and how to improve the human-computer relationship for them." (Shackel, 1996)
